medeConnect Healthcare Insight, the market research division of Doctors.net.uk, has strengthened its senior research team with the appointment of Nicola Miles, as business development director for field services.
In her new role, Nicola is responsible for providing operational guidance on the agency's extensive range of field and tab research projects - including the GP omnibus service, specialty research and online focus groups - which access the Doctors.net.uk online community.
Nicola brings 25 years’ experience spanning the healthcare market research sector, with specific expertise in the delivery of international field and tab research projects. Beginning her career as a research assistant at the Royal Marsden Hospital, she worked closely on cancer research projects including the three-year trials that resulted in the establishment of breast and colorectal screening across the UK.
She went on to work with Kantar Operations and then Synovate Healthcare, where she worked her way up to become head of the agency team. Responsible for business development and client servicing of the field and tab offerings, Nicola drove global and country specific qualitative and quantitative research projects utilising the full range of research channels.
She joins medeConnect from Frost & Sullivan where, as Global Operational Director for Healthcare, she co-ordinated international healthcare studies across Europe, APAC and the Americas.
