New Alliance offers unique community-based research opportunities across Europe

The partnership between online research experts medeConnect Healthcare Insight and Networks in Health - the largest Alliance of professional physician communities in Europe, which was launched last week – will generate unique, international research opportunities.

This partnership will give medeConnect clients unprecedented access to more than 600,000 physicians who have become part of Networks in Health and who belong to online physician communities in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden.

These physician communities, which will learn from and collaborate with each other, have been united by Doctors.net.uk - the largest professional network of doctors in the UK. The communities include Egora and La Revue du Praticien in France, Medcenter in Spain and Portugal, coliquio in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and MedUniverse in Sweden. Further partners are being sought.

medeConnect, the independent market research division of Doctors.net.uk, is therefore well placed to enable global pharmaceutical companies, public health bodies and other organisations to capitalize on the benefits offered by Networks in Health in the research environment.

medeConnect has pioneered new and exciting online research services, including chat-based qualitative research and discussion mining – all of which are founded upon full service, community-based engagement with medical professionals.

This community-based approach allows researchers to access a broader cohort of physicians than would otherwise be possible and is based on a strong understanding of doctors’ attitudes, beliefs and digital behaviour. It is supported by comprehensive digital programme management and measurement.

Anna Garofalo, Managing Director of medeConnect, said: “Networks in Health presents a unique opportunity to access hundreds of thousands of physicians across Europe. With our pioneering range of online, research services and insightful, community-based approach, we could not be better placed to capitalize on this exciting development for our clients.”
